FRANCE 24 - Android TV for Android TV

FRANCE 24 - Android TV is a news and magazines application by France Médias Monde that delivers live international news coverage and on-demand programming directly to Android TV devices. Designed for viewers who want around-the-clock access to world events, the app streams the FRANCE 24 channel in four languages and provides immediate access to the latest news bulletins covering World, Africa, Business, and Sports topics. It also offers a library of television shows available on demand, making it a comprehensive tool for staying informed from the comfort of a living room.

The app is built for Android TV, which means it is optimized for navigation with a remote control and a large-screen interface. Users can switch between live broadcasts and catch up on recent segments without needing a separate cable subscription. The application is free to use and includes advertisements, but it does not offer in-app purchases. According to the developer, the latest version focuses on a redesigned video player that aims to improve user experience and performance, reflecting a commitment to smoother playback and more reliable streaming.

With over one million installs and a modest user rating, the app serves a broad audience of international news consumers. Its content rating is Everyone 10+, and it requires Android 6.0 or higher, making it accessible to most modern Android TV devices. The app requests only Wi-Fi connection information, which is typically used to manage network-based streaming. For users who prefer to follow global affairs in multiple languages, this application provides a straightforward and dedicated solution on the TV platform.
