Simply Piano: Learn Piano Fast

Simply Piano: Learn Piano Fast is an educational app by Simply Ltd that teaches you to play the piano using songs you love. It is designed to guide beginners and intermediate players through a structured learning path at their own pace, using the device’s microphone or a MIDI connection to listen and provide real-time feedback.

The app breaks learning down into manageable steps, from reading sheet music to playing with both hands. It includes a massive library of over 5,000 songs, ranging from classical works by Bach and Beethoven to modern hits by artists like John Legend and Sia. A core feature is the personalized 5-Minute Workout, which helps you build a daily practice routine that shows consistent progress.

Developed by experienced music educators, the app is suitable for all ages and works with any acoustic or digital keyboard. For those without a physical instrument, Touch Courses turn the device screen into a playable keyboard. The free download provides an introduction to piano basics and access to selected content.

To unlock all courses and the full song library, a Simply Piano Premium subscription is required. A single subscription supports up to five family profiles, and also includes premium access to Simply Guitar. The app is ad-free and designed to be safe for kids.

Latest changes · 7.33.7

Version 7.33.7, released October 11, 2026, adds a self-paced learning option for library songs. You can now slow down the music to match your skill level, letting you practice tricky sections until you get them right. This update focuses on giving learners more control over tempo during practice sessions.

Simply Piano is for anyone with an interest in learning to play the piano, from absolute beginners with no musical background to intermediate players wanting to improve their technique. It is particularly useful for busy individuals who benefit from short, daily practice sessions and families needing multiple user profiles.

For the most accurate feedback, connect a digital keyboard via a MIDI cable or USB adapter instead of relying solely on the device’s microphone. If you are new to the app, start with the free introductory courses to understand the lesson flow before starting a premium trial. Using headphones can help the app better detect your playing in a noisy room.

Simply Piano is a well-regarded tool for anyone wanting to learn piano in a structured, motivating way. Its vast song library and instant feedback system make daily practice accessible, though full access requires a subscription. It is a strong choice for building a consistent musical habit.
